Utility Billing Assistant

Department: Utilities Department

Position Hours: Full-Time, 8:30am – 5:00pm

Job Duties:

  • Supervises department cashiers; Opens vault. Prepares and processes cash collection reports, online payment transaction reports, and SC Government electronic payment reports; Counts and proofs cashier’s drawers and checks. Prints transaction reports for balance against cash drawers; Prints and distributes payments by service and cash collection reports for the Finance Director for posting to ledger; Consolidates bank bags, deposit slips and various reports for verification; Sets up new water accounts, finalizes accounts, completes adjustment forms, processes letters of notification to customers and tracks customer repayments; Interacts with the general public in regards to water accounts in a customer service role; Performs other job duties as required.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Requires an Associates degree in accounting, business or related area as well as 2-3 years of general administrative, records management or office management experience.

 

Pay Info: Based on experience
