2019 Parade of Lights
We are excited about the 2019 Parade of Lights, happening Sunday, December 1, 2019, in our beautifully lit downtown. The parade will begin at 5:30 pm; it will travel up Brooks Street from Weldon Auditorium, turn onto Boyce Street, and then onto N Mill Street.
If you are interested in participating in our parade please download the application or pick one up at Manning City Hall, located at 29 W Boyce Street. Entry fees will need to be paid at Manning City Hall and checks should be payable to the City of Manning Parade.
If you are interested in participating please note: it will be dark, all entries will need to be decorated with lights. Please use spotlights as well as decorative lights on your entry. Generators and power inverters can be purchased at local retailers to help with your float decoration. The crowd will not be able to see just a magnet or sign stuck to the side of a vehicle, you will need to use lights. There are even battery operated light strands that can be used to decorate outfits, people, etc. We want to see your creativity. You can find some creative ideas on the Main Street Manning Pinterest Board – Parade of Lights.
Entries will be judged and trophies will be awarded to the Most Creative Entry, Best Christmas Float, and Most Lights.
If you have any questions please contact Carrie Trebil at City Hall - 803-435-8477.
